I was born into a Navy family in Annapolis, Maryland and have lived in several states, Spain, England, and Japan. I grew up in different Christian faith traditions and was eventually baptized as an adult in the Lutheran Church. The first time I was stationed in London, England as a US Naval Officer, I was drawn to the Church of England through Choral Evensong. It was there that I felt the presence of God. Upon being transferred to Washington, D.C., I began attending the Falls Church where I was confirmed and married Robert Perrin in 1988. Both my husband and I returned to London, England for a second tour of duty in 1989. We joined our local parish church, St. Saviour’s of Alexandra Park . We were immediately embraced by this community and about a year later actually were installed as wardens. Our daughter, Catherine Rose Perrin, was born in London and baptized at St. Saviour’s. After leaving London, we returned to Washington D.C. for approximately two years before moving to Richmond where we joined Grace and Holy Trinity Church (GHTC) then under the leadership of the Reverend Hill Brown. My husband and I have been members of GHTC for 29 years. Our daughter, Catherine Rose Perrin was raised and confirmed at GHTC.

My activities while at GHTC have included Altar Guild, Church Flowers, Chalice Bearer, Choir Member, Music Librarian, Episcopal Church Women (ECW) Treasurer, Plum Pudding Committee, Missionary Society (serving on 11 trips to Belize), and ECW Board Member for the Diocese of Virginia.

Outside of GHTC, I am currently a Board Director for Hope for Humanity, Inc., which supports a secondary school in South Sudan. I spent over 35 years as an active Girl Scout Leader, Service Unit Director and Treasurer, and I am a Lifetime Member of the Girl Scouts of the USA.

My formal education includes an MBA from the University of San Diego, and a BA in History from UC, San Diego.
